No quorum
Deputy group called “Solidarity” disrupted adopting amendments to the Perm Regional Budget for 2011. There was no quorum for the authorized decision. Solidarity Group deputies left in disagreement with the suggestion to allot 580 million rubles on experimental plays of Perm Opera and Ballet House, establishing new positions of deputy chairmen of the government and opening three project offices for culture, healthcare modernization and innovations.
Deputies at court
Evgeny Voznikov, deputy of Perm Regional Duma, lost his mandate. In June 2010 he drove his car drunk and hit passenger bus hurting four people including himself. He was suited for the accident and was recognized guilty.
Aleksey Gribanov, candidate in the elections of deputies to Perm City Duma, won court proceedings affirming his victory. Election commission of the voting station refused to recognize election results for it suspected dirty play on the candidates’ part the night before the elections when all political agitation is prohibited. The court ruled in favor of Aleksey Gribanov.
Road accident case
Perm Regional Court refused to recognize the claims for reimbursement of car owners hit by a bus. A bus scratched 20 cars on the road when its driver lost control. Looking from the outside, it is a clear case, car owners request compensation from the bus owner. However, several days before the accident, the bus had been hired by a tourist bureau, which is made responsible for the accident and which is today bankrupt and can’t cover any expenses.
Investigation Committee
Eduard Shramko was appointed to be the first deputy head of the Investigation Committee of Russia Perm Division according to the order of Dmitry Medvedev. Eduard Shramko is colonel of justice by title and started his career in the investigation bodies in 2007 in the same position as he was commissioned with last week.
