«Notionally dead» were about half of the Perm citizens
Kind of a hit last week was the news about the check of the regional emergency alert system (emergency). The audit was scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, the alarm siren had to go at 11:30 am. Within five minutes in social web sites, many Perm citizens complained that the signal was not heard.
Anyhow recognizing the problems in the system, Head of Russia's State Emergency in the Perm Region Oleg Popov said at a press conference that he was 100% sure that the warning system in case of emergency would work.
Political Council formed under Head of the Region
Victor Basargin was traditionally active during last week. So, on Tuesday, July 31, Head of the Region signed a decree «On the Political Council under Governor of the Perm Region». The council consists of 23 people, including famous public opponents of the former Governor Oleg Chirkunov, ex-members of the Regional Parliament Andrey Agishev and Konstantin Okunev, communists Vladimir Korsun and Gennady Kuzmitsky, as well as chairman of the Perm «Yabloko» Olga Kolokolova.
In addition, last week Governor of the Perm Region held a meeting on the relevant to the region issue of defrauded real estate investors. Victor Basargin, according to his press office, instructed the regional police to report on the situation of punishing the guilty in a month.
