New coach
Administration of the football club Tom’ hired famous Valery Nepomnyashy as the club’s new chief coach. Nepomnyashy became the world’s legend after coaching of a football team from Cameroon that brought the team up high in the 1990 world championship. Cameroon players won in the match with Argentina team where Diego Maradona played at that time.
Caterpillar’s plans
Caterpillar, one of the world’s leaders in production of construction and mining equipment and machinery will open an assembling facility in Novosibirsk. Governmental Corporation Rostechnology will become the American company’s local partner. Novosibirsk was chosen due its close location to Kuzbass where there is a constant need of large trucks, and to the North, where oil and gas deposits require quality equipment, as Sergey Chemezov, Rostechnolgy’s general director, commented.
Illegal construction
Western Siberian Transport Prosecution requested to stop construction of high-stored buildings in the proximity of the airport in Omsk. Several construction companies conduct construction works against air security legislation and without the permission of the local division of the federal air navigation service. The buildings cause disturbances in the work of radiolocation and radio navigation and create danger for the safety of flights.
Link from Kuzbass to Germany and Czech Republic
Kuzbass Machinery Building Works will be re-organized into an international holding registered in Yurga, a city in Kemerovo Region. The Works will become the head enterprise and will control Caar Machinery GmbH, which produces hydraulics equipment, and T-Mashinery in Czech Republic, manufacturer of mining equipment. Multi-profile production enterprise “Kuzbass” plans to invest about 800 million rubles in 2008 into the technical renovation of the Yurga’s Works.
