Stavropol sorts things out with UTair
Stavropol authorities claim to UTair company work, negotiate and even consider possibility to refuse the air carrier services. Problems with UTair began after emergency landing of company’s Boingin in Vnukovo airport on May 18. According to Regional Ministry of Transportation, Stavropol authorities are not going to break partner relationship with the company.
However earlier Vice-Governor of the Stavropol Territory Ivan Kovalev at the meeting of Committee of Economic Development of Regional Duma raised an issue of a possible refusal of UTair services. Minister of Transportation Alexander Pavlov outlined that nowadays in the international airport “Stavropol” there were three air companies: S7, Don and UTair that flew to Moscow.
Khloponin stated that quality education was insurance of employment
Just before the uniform state exam start Plenipotentiary Envoy in the North Caucasian Federal District Alexander Khloponin and Pyatigorsk Head Lev Travnev visited one of the city schools. Head of the North Caucasian Federal District talked to upper-form pupils. According to Alexander Khloponin, the uniform state exam is first of all the appraisal of quality of education at school that in its turn is the major guarantee of employment.
Stavropol Territory is going to collect 7 million tons of crops
Sowing of spring crops completed in the Stavropol Territory. Minister of Agriculture Alexander Martychev told about the crops, future harvest forecast and regional state support of agribusiness in the coming year at the briefing held in regional government. Conducted work and favorable weather conditions allow predicting gross harvesting of more than 7 million tons. He also reported on results of cattle-breading sector development in the first quarter of this year. Comparing to the same period in 2012, 20% more meat and 2% more eggs were produced and the number of animal stock has grown. In general, regional agricultural complex in the first quarter of this year earned more than 10 billion rubles, exceeding the previous year by 10%.
CEO of Stavropolkraivodokanal fired
Vyacheslav Sergienko who previously held the post of head of Stavrooplkrayvodokanal was dismissed by the order of Minister of Housing and Utilities of the Stavropol Territory. Sergienko was fired in early May. At the moment a new head of Stavrooplkrayvodokanal has not been appointed. April 23, Vyacheslav Sergienko was arrested on suspicion of grand larceny. He is suspected by the articles of the Criminal Code “Fraud” and “Forgery”.
The Prosecutor's Office against the purchase of textbooks by parents
Stavropol Prosecutor’s Office demanded Stavropol Ministry of Education to make changes in the administrative procedure. These changes should eliminate the possibility of purchasing textbooks for school by personal parents’ funds. The audit found that the current administrative regulation approved by regional Minister of Education assumes the possibility of purchasing textbooks for school children by parents’ funds.
Territory Day can be moved to autumn
At the weekly meeting of deputies and heads of divisions of the regional parliament the issue of postponement of the Day of the Stavropol Territory in autumn was discussed. Deputy Mikhail Kuzmin suggested considering the possibility of transferring the Stavropol Territory Day from May to autumn months. Some deputies consider this period more appropriate, by this time there are some results in various spheres of life in Stavropol, especially in strategically important for the region agriculture.
