Attention to orphans
A new social project started work in Tyumen Region. It aims at attracting attention to the problems of orphans and children left without parental care. People are asked to purchase life insurances savings plans for such children as a ready-to-use social product instead of just transferring money for the needs of children’s homes.

New oil pipeline
Vice Prime Minister of Russia Igor Sechin came to Khanty-Mansiisk District last week to start-up construction of a new oil pipeline. This new pipeline will become a shortcut for northern oil and will allow transporting it in a number of directions. It will start at Yamal’s oil pumping station “Purpe” and will finish at Yugra’s station “Samotlor”.
This new pipeline is planned as a bridge between western and eastern oil transport systems of Russia. It will also bridge northern oil with the system of Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO). General Director of Transneft, governors of Yugra and Yamal along with Igor Sechin were present at the start of construction on March 11, 2010.

Assets of the Bank of Khanty-Mansiisk grew by 4.13 percent since the beginning of this year. Capital base of the bank now exceeds 25 billion rubles. Credit portfolio accounts for 65.8 billion rubles, investment portfolio makes 35.2 billion rubles. Funds attracted from private customers estimate 38 billion rubles, from corporate clients – 29 billions.

New State Duma Deputy
Vice-governor Viktor Kazarin plans to become a State Duma Deputy. This news was announced by the new district’s governor Dmitry Kobylkin.
“I’ve talked to Viktor Nikolaevich about his future and I am grateful he accepted the offer to represent the District’s interests in the State Duma”, the governor said.
Latent back pay
Official Statistics of Yamal reports that there is no back pay in the district. However, there is the so-called latent back pay and currently it estimates 87.2 million rubles with 70 enterprises not being able to pay wages to their employees. The reasons are now common and include bankruptcy proceedings, stop of operations, late payments by clients, etc.
